As expected, 2011 has FLOWN by.  It’s been an incredibly busy year for us (in such a good way!) and we’re really planning on using these last few days of December to chilllllllll outttttt.  I LOVE December for a number of reasons . . .for us here in Perth, December is when we’re reminded (after months of needing  a jacket at night!) just how lucky we are to live by the most  beautiful beaches in the entire world.  As the steering wheel gets too hot to touch, and the beach becomes a weekly necessity, Perth smiles the most wonderful smile as we embrace summer the only real way a Pertharian should – with a hat, sun screen & a brand new bathing suit 🙂  After our telco went AWOL for 12 LONGGG days I have a lot of Client Blogs to catch up on but in the spirit of giving myself a few days to myself I thought i’d share some personal photos of my December so far & the truely amazing people I get to spend my life with 🙂

My birthday was on the 10th & we hit the amazing Rottnest Island for a day of full on island paradise 🙂  After a short ferry ride we hired bikes, rode around the island and frolicked in the crystal clear waters 🙂  We’ve had a bunch of shark sightings lately but we didn’t see them in our little bay 🙂

My baby brother turned 12 this year . . . not too sure how that happened!!

Chrissie bbq with fabulous friends and a nice little wedding thrown in too!

and Christmas Day – we started out at Aidan’s family’s place where I had the camera ready all morning as it was little Sasha’s first Christmas and then got slack with my own family in the arvo!

There was one extra at the dinner table this christmas 🙂  My brother’s girlfriend is not only gorgeous, sweet & thoughtful but she also happens to have adopted little Puk (My Mum’s 3rd, or possibly 4th foster pup!) and so we get to see him often which is sooo wonderful 🙂

I hope everyone had a wonderful December & enjoy the last few days off!!  Can’t wait for 2012 and all the gorgeous new Clients i’ve yet to meet 🙂

Rory’s story up until now was truely heart breaking – but we can change that!  After being terrifyingly close to death, he is only here with us today thanks to some wonderful rangers who fell in love with his amazing nature & the truely hardworking, caring & amazing women behind Staffy & Bull Breed Rescue who have saved so many amazing dogs from death row.

Rory is incredibly handsome & a very intelligent young man.  He’s extremely polite & well behaved.  When i met his foster Mum at her property in Bullsbrook I was greeted by 6 dogs jumping out the back of her ute (all are rescues and ALL are absolutely beautiful).  To my amazement, as we moved to different parts of the property the way these dogs interact & get along was so lovely to see.  Rory was definitely the independant though.  He will absolutely blossom being an only dog (although he gets on great with other dogs, horses, cows and cats!!)   Julie told me Rory never leaves her side – whether she’s around her property feeding the animals or lying on the vouch relaxing, he’s there. . .  by her side . . always.  This is probably the only time Rory’s known love & felt like he belongs somewhere.  Julie’s house is rather full & although she’s fallen completely in love with our special boy unfortunately he can get out of her low fencing & he can’t stay 🙁

All he wants is to be loved and belong somewhere and sadly for too long that apparently too much to ask.

Lets show Rory what life can be like for the lucky ones.

I know there’s someone out there who wants a good looking, loyal, obedient, loving, intelligent dog to share their life with and I have no doubt the power of facebook can help them to find him 🙂  PLEASEEEEEEEEE share Rory’s story on facebook and know that today, you have honestly helped another dog get just an inch closer to finding a forever home he so deserves x  Rory’s profile can be found on Pet Rescue here

And here’s a little look into a day with Rory <3

Disclaimer:  images you are about to see may cause you to fall completely & utterley in love with Rory.  Please make sure you have the heart, time & love to give that he so deserves xxx

He’s waiting for you. . whenever you’re ready 🙂  As always, YOU can make a difference to how this gorgeous little man’s life goes from here.  Head on over to facebok & hit that share button 🙂  Rory sends some slobbery kisses and cuddles & a big fat THANK YOU to everyone who has helped him up until now & to everyone who will in the future xxx

I’ve missed a few weeks now of the 52 Project!!!  Honestly think someone’s stolen these last few months away because they’ve gone so incredibly fast that i can hardly believe Christmas is nearly here again!!!!  Though I am mighty happy about temperatures rising again!  This week’s theme was waaaayyy tooo perfect for me!!  Aidan & I headed over to the beautiful island of Bali at the end of September and one of the absolute highlights for me was visiting the Monkey Forrest in Ubud!  The monkey’s are completely free & I laughed until my insides hurt at them pinching a ladies sunnies & stealing bananas out of terrified children’s (ok, and maybe my) hands!  They’re very cute (until they get too close, so I took over photographing duties to ensure Aidan got all the one on one monkey he could possibly want :p

Now head over to Steph Skardal to see what Wild animal she got to meet this week!!  Remember to follow the link in each blog and you’ll end up right back here 🙂

This week’s 52 Project theme is humour!  I’ve been a bad group member and missed a few but I’m back this week 🙂

My two furry children make me laugh every day without fail.  They each have the funniest little habbits that are certainly unique.  We discovered a while back that Jersey loves a good carrot!  We’d leave one out in the morning for her & she’d save it all day until we got home at which point she’d run outside to get the carrot, set up in front of the tv and munch away until the entire thing had been devoured.  She hasn’t had a carrot in a while so i thought it would be the perfect opportunity to capture for this week’s theme 🙂  Pardon her manners . . . no-one’s really ever been able to convince her that she’s supposed to be a lady!

She is a funny little puppy.  Now head on over to Dana Cubbage Photography to see what made her laugh this week 🙂  Keep clicking the links ’til you end up right back here.

Lol thats so cute! I photographed some pugs & their special treat we got them to look at the camera with were carrots! My dog would look at me like I’d lost my mind if I tried to feed her a raw carrot lolReplyCancel
